This essential role involves the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move materials, manage inventory, and support overall warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will possess a current forklift certification, excellent driving skills, and a strong commitment to Safety. You will be responsible for loading and unloading trucks, transporting goods within the facility, and accurately staging orders for shipment. Maintaining equipment and ensuring a clean and organized work area are also key responsibilities. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks is important. Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, and retrieve materials.
- Load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Transport goods to designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily pre-operation checks on forklifts and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management and cycle counts.
- Ensure order accuracy and proper staging for outbound logistics.
- Maintain a clean, orderly, and Safe work environment.
- Adhere to all company Safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Work collaboratively with team members to achieve operational goals.
- Follow all instructions and guidelines provided.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of Safety principles and practices.
- Good hand-eye coordination and spatial judgment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Effective communication skills.
