Join our dedicated team in Detroit, Michigan, as an Inventory Clerk. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our warehouse inventory. You will be responsible for tracking stock levels, conducting cycle counts, and ensuring all inventory movements are meticulously recorded. This position requires exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of warehouse logistics. Your work directly impacts our operational efficiency and customer satisfaction by ensuring we have the right products available when needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.
- Update inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Receive and accurately document incoming inventory.
- Track the movement of goods within the warehouse.
- Assist in organizing warehouse stock and ensuring proper storage.
- Generate inventory reports for management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Maintain a clean and orderly workspace to promote efficient operations.
- Support logistics and fulfillment teams with inventory-related tasks.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office Suite. Ability to perform tasks requiring some lifting and physical movement. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk or in a similar warehouse role is highly preferred. Knowledge of logistics and supply chain best practices is beneficial. Must be able to work independently and collaboratively. Safety-conscious attitude is a must.
