Seeking a motivated Material Handler for our Washington, D.C. facility. This role is key to our logistics operations, focusing on the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. The ideal candidate will be responsible for receiving, identifying, and staging materials, operating manual and powered equipment, and maintaining an organized stockroom. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, supporting production, and fulfilling orders accurately. Daily tasks include unpacking, stocking, retrieving items, and preparing materials for shipment. This position requires physical stamina, the ability to perform consistent lifting, and a strong commitment to accuracy. A basic understanding of logistics principles and inventory control is beneficial. Responsibilities:
- Handle and move materials within the warehouse using appropriate equipment.
- Receive and unpack incoming shipments.
- Stage materials for production or shipping.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and records.
- Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and safe.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and use of PPE.
- Experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting and manual tasks.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and logistics.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
