Are you a proven leader ready to take on a challenging role in Kansas City, Missouri? We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee our busy distribution center. You will lead a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficient operations, maintaining high standards of Safety, and driving productivity. Responsibilities include managing daily workflows, scheduling staff, training new hires, and ensuring compliance with all company policies and logistics best practices. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in warehouse management, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of inventory control, Safety procedures, and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role requires the ability to manage staff, oversee operations involving significant Lifting, and maintain a safe and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and lead warehouse staff, providing guidance and support.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Develop and implement work schedules to ensure adequate staffing.
- Ensure all warehouse activities comply with Safety regulations and company policies.
- Train and mentor warehouse associates on job duties, Safety procedures, and the proper use of PPE.
- Monitor team performance and productivity, implementing strategies for improvement.
- Manage inventory levels and accuracy, working closely with inventory control.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any identified hazards.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Oversee tasks involving moderate to heavy Lifting and ensure safe handling practices.
- Manage equipment maintenance and ensure its safe operation.
- Investigate and resolve operational issues and employee concerns.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless logistics operations.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment.
- Ensure all outbound shipments are accurate and timely.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and supply chain management.
- Proficiency in WMS and other relevant software.
- Excellent understanding of Safety regulations and procedures, including PPE requirements.
- Ability to manage a team and motivate performance.
- Experience with inventory control and management.
- Ability to handle moderate to heavy Lifting and oversee operations requiring it.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
