Are you ready to be a vital part of our fast-paced logistics operation in Detroit, Michigan? We are looking for energetic and reliable Picker/Packers to join our growing warehouse team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking customer orders using RF scanners and preparing them for shipment. Attention to detail is key as you ensure correct items and quantities are selected and packaged securely. This position involves significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting of boxes and items. We are committed to providing a safe working environment, and all employees are required to use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and follow strict Safety protocols. Key Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items for customer orders using RF scanners.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product protection during transit.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and staging.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote efficiency and Safety.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to PPE and Safety.
- Participate in inventory counts and stock checks.
- Meet daily productivity goals and deadlines.
- Assist with receiving and putting away stock when necessary.
- Handle moderate to heavy Lifting of packages up to 50 lbs.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow within the logistics operation.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
- Ensure all outbound shipments meet quality standards.
- Understand and follow the principles of efficient warehouse operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and interpret pick tickets and product labels.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including frequent Lifting and standing for extended periods.
- Commitment to adhering to all Safety regulations and using PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced logistics setting.
