We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Technician to join our advanced facility in Los Angeles, California. This role involves maintaining and troubleshooting warehouse equipment, ensuring the smooth operation of our automated and manual systems, and contributing to the overall efficiency of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude and a proactive approach to problem-solving. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance, conducting inspections, and making necessary repairs to keep our equipment running optimally. Safety is paramount in our warehouse, and all technicians must be proficient in safety procedures and the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is a critical role that supports our high-volume distribution network and requires a commitment to excellence in a fast-paced environment. We are looking for individuals passionate about maintaining operational integrity.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine preventative maintenance on warehouse machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues.
- Conduct regular inspections of conveyor systems, lifts, and other material handling equipment.
- Ensure all equipment operates safely and efficiently according to manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
- Assist with the installation and setup of new equipment.
- Adhere strictly to all safety regulations and company policies.
- Respond promptly to equipment malfunctions and troubleshoot issues.
- Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications preferred.
- Proven experience as a maintenance technician, preferably in a warehouse or industrial setting.
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with various types of warehouse equipment and automation systems.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and the importance of PPE.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Good problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Physical ability to perform repairs, including lifting up to 50 lbs and working in various positions.
