Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Inventory Control Specialist to join our Atlanta, Georgia team. This critical role is central to our logistics and supply chain management, focusing on maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring the integrity of our stock. You will be responsible for conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, implementing inventory control procedures, and optimizing storage space. A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a commitment to safety are essential. You must be proficient in using inventory management software and understand warehouse operations. Adherence to all safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE is mandatory. This position requires someone organized, proactive, and dedicated to maintaining high standards in a demanding logistics environment. Experience with WMS (Warehouse Management Systems) is highly valued.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
  • Investigate and reconcile discrepancies between system inventory and physical stock.
  • Implement and enforce inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage stock rotation (e.g., FIFO) to minimize spoilage or obsolescence.
  • Ensure accurate receiving, put-away, and picking processes from an inventory perspective.
  • Collaborate with warehouse operations to resolve inventory-related issues.
  • Maintain a safe and organized warehouse environment, ensuring compliance with all safety regulations and the correct use of PPE.
  • Generate reports on inventory levels, accuracy, and movement.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain, or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control principles and logistics best practices.
  • Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and inventory software.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 30 lbs occasionally.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Commitment to workplace safety and the proper use of PPE.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
