Seeking an Order Picker for our San Diego, California facility. This role is essential to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently picked from our inventory. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for reading order slips, locating specific items in the warehouse, and ensuring the correct quantity is selected. Maintaining an organized and safe work environment is critical, requiring strict adherence to all safety protocols and the proper use of PPE. This position requires physical capability, including frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Responsibilities:
- Accurately interpret pick orders and locate designated items in the warehouse.
- Select the correct products and quantities as specified on the order form.
- Use equipment such as pallet jacks or order pickers safely and efficiently.
- Ensure picked items are ready for the next stage of the logistics process (e.g., packing).
- Maintain tidiness and organization within assigned picking zones.
- Follow all safety guidelines, including proper lifting techniques and the mandatory use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts to ensure accuracy.
- Communicate any stock discrepancies or issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for long durations.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy are crucial.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics flow.
- Commitment to safety standards and willingness to wear required PPE.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliability and a proactive attitude.
