Our Detroit, Michigan distribution center is looking for energetic Distribution Center Associates to join our dedicated team. This role is fundamental to our supply chain, focusing on the efficient and accurate handling of goods within the warehouse. As a Distribution Center Associate, you will engage in a variety of tasks including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping orders. Maintaining a safe and organized work environment is a top priority. We are seeking individuals with a strong work ethic, the ability to perform physical tasks, and a commitment to upholding safety standards. Responsibilities:
- Receiving and inspecting inbound shipments for accuracy and damage.
- Storing and organizing inventory in designated warehouse locations.
- Accurately picking items to fulfill customer orders.
- Packing orders with appropriate materials to ensure safe transit.
- Loading outgoing shipments onto trucks.
- Operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of the warehouse floor and workstations.
- Conducting regular inventory checks and cycle counts.
- Strictly adhering to all company safety guidelines and procedures, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Performing tasks requiring physical exertion, including safe Lifting techniques.
- Ensuring efficient flow of goods through our logistics network.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Prior experience in a distribution center or warehouse role is preferred.
- Proficiency in operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment is highly desirable.
- Excellent understanding of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring significant physical activity, including frequent Lifting and standing.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions.
- Must be able to wear and utilize all required PPE.
- Dependability and a proactive approach to work.
