We are looking for a meticulous and organized Inventory Clerk to join our warehouse facility in Austin, Texas. The Inventory Clerk plays a vital role in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our stock. You will be responsible for tracking inventory levels, conducting regular cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring that all inventory-related data is up-to-date and precise. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of inventory management principles. Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and managing inventory levels to ensure accuracy.
- Performing regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Investigating and resolving inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintaining accurate records of stock movements, receipts, and shipments.
- Utilizing warehouse management systems (WMS) for data entry and retrieval.
- Generating inventory reports for management.
- Collaborating with other departments to ensure efficient flow of goods.
- Identifying slow-moving or obsolete inventory and reporting it.
- Ensuring proper storage and organization of inventory items.
- Adhering to safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE for tasks involving potential hazards.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree in a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory control or warehouse operations.
- Proficiency in using inventory management software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Understanding of basic warehouse safety practices related to Lifting and material handling.
- Must be able to work in a warehouse environment and wear appropriate PPE.
