Seeking an Order Picker to join our Des Moines, Iowa logistics team. This position is vital for accurately and efficiently fulfilling customer orders. You will be responsible for locating and retrieving specific items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets. Accuracy, speed, and a commitment to safety are essential. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse locations based on order specifications.
- Verify picked items against order lists to ensure accuracy.
- Pack picked items securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Operate pallet jacks and other warehouse equipment as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and procedures.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock rotation.
- Follow all instructions regarding lifting and material handling.
- Wear all necessary Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Contribute to team goals and support colleagues.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is a plus. Ability to read and understand pick tickets and product labels. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods. Good organizational skills. Team player mentality. Basic understanding of logistics is beneficial. Must be reliable and able to work assigned shifts. Commitment to workplace safety is essential.
