Are you an experienced Inventory Control Specialist looking for a new opportunity in Jacksonville, Florida? We are seeking a dedicated professional to manage and maintain the accuracy of our warehouse inventory. In this role, you will implement and oversee inventory control procedures to minimize discrepancies and optimize stock levels. Your expertise will directly contribute to the efficiency of our logistics operations. The ideal candidate possesses exceptional analytical skills, a strong understanding of warehouse management systems, and a commitment to upholding rigorous Safety standards. This position requires a proactive approach to identifying and resolving inventory issues.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain inventory control procedures.
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Investigate and resolve inventory variances.
- Manage and optimize stock levels to meet demand and minimize carrying costs.
- Ensure the accuracy of inventory records in the WMS.
- Coordinate with receiving, shipping, and production teams to ensure accurate material flow.
- Implement strategies to reduce shrinkage and improve inventory accuracy.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory control best practices.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Properly utilize all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Handle tasks that may involve significant Lifting and movement of goods.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the logistics supply chain.
- Champion Safety initiatives within the inventory control department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in inventory control or a related logistics role.
- Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Knowledge of inventory management principles and best practices.
- Experience with data analysis and reporting.
- Ability to perform tasks involving moderate to heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to promoting and maintaining a high level of Safety.
