A leading logistics company in Boise, Idaho is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our distribution center. The Warehouse Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of warehouse associates, ensuring efficiency, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of warehouse management systems, and a proven track record in logistics operations. You will play a key role in optimizing workflows, managing inventory, and ensuring timely order fulfillment. The successful candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and dedicated to fostering a safe and productive work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise, train, and motivate warehouse staff to achieve departmental goals.
- Oversee all warehouse activities, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping.
- Ensure efficient use of space and resources within the warehouse.
- Implement and enforce safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of PPE.
- Manage inventory levels and conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy.
- Optimize warehouse layout and workflow for maximum efficiency.
- Resolve operational issues and discrepancies promptly.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the logistics operations.
- Manage equipment maintenance schedules and ensure operational readiness.
- Assist with employee scheduling and labor cost management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company standards.
- Facilitate smooth communication between shifts and departments.
- Oversee tasks involving significant Lifting and material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in warehouse supervision or management.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory control.
- Experience with WMS and other relevant software.
- Strong understanding of Safety regulations and best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to handle physical demands of the job, including frequent Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with MHE (Material Handling Equipment) operation and management.
- Commitment to fostering a positive and Safety-conscious workplace culture.
