Seeking an experienced Forklift Operator in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment. Your primary duties will include loading and unloading trucks, moving inventory to and from storage locations, and assisting with order fulfillment. This role requires a high level of skill, precision, and a strong commitment to safety. You must be adept at navigating our warehouse environment while ensuring the integrity of the goods being handled. We are looking for reliable individuals with a proven history of safe forklift operation and a thorough understanding of warehouse logistics. Attention to detail is critical for accurate inventory management and error prevention. Collaboration with other team members to meet shipping and receiving targets is essential. We maintain a strong focus on workplace safety, and adherence to all safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE, is expected. While forklift operation is the main focus, some general warehouse duties and lifting may be required. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Assist with receiving and shipping processes.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report maintenance needs.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper stock rotation.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of mandatory PPE.
- Participate in general warehouse duties as needed to support logistics operations.
Requirements:
- Valid forklift operator certification.
- Significant experience operating forklifts in a busy warehouse environment.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse logistics and safety best practices.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination, spatial reasoning, and focus.
- Demonstrated commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a cohesive logistics team.
- Good communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
