We are seeking a diligent Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Boise, Idaho. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the accurate and efficient processing of all incoming goods. Your duties will include unloading shipments, verifying contents against purchase orders, inspecting for damage, and properly stocking inventory. Maintaining organized receiving areas and accurate records is essential for efficient warehouse operations. A strong emphasis is placed on safety; you will be trained on and expected to adhere to all company safety policies, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling practices for all materials. This position requires attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:
- Unload incoming shipments efficiently and safely.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and packing slips.
- Inspect incoming merchandise for damage or discrepancies.
- Enter receiving data into the inventory management system.
- Stock received items in designated warehouse locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse tasks as needed.
- Communicate any issues or discrepancies to supervisors promptly.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in using scanners and basic computer systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory control.
- Commitment to workplace safety.
