We are looking for a proactive and organized Warehouse Coordinator to manage daily operations at our Kansas City, Missouri facility. The Warehouse Coordinator will oversee the smooth functioning of the warehouse, ensuring efficiency in receiving, storage, inventory management, and shipping. This role requires strong leadership skills, a keen understanding of logistics, and a commitment to maintaining a safe working environment. You will be responsible for coordinating the activities of warehouse staff, optimizing workflow, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity. This position involves working closely with transportation and delivery partners, managing inventory levels, and resolving any operational issues that arise. A strong focus on safety is paramount; you will ensure all team members are trained on and adhere to safety regulations, including the correct use of PPE and safe operation of equipment. Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be adept at problem-solving, possess excellent communication skills, and be able to motivate a team. This is a pivotal role in our logistics chain, requiring dedication and a results-oriented approach. The ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing demands is essential. Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate warehouse staff to ensure efficient operations.
- Oversee receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
- Manage inventory control and ensure accuracy through regular audits.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Coordinate with transportation and logistics providers.
- Train new warehouse staff on procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse facility.
- Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues as they arise.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proven work experience as a Warehouse Coordinator or similar role.
- Excellent knowledge of warehouse management procedures and best practices.
- Proficiency in WMS and inventory management software.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles.
- Knowledge of safety standards and practices, including PPE requirements.
