We are hiring certified Forklift Operators for our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania warehouse. This position is critical for the seamless flow of our logistics operations, involving the safe and efficient movement of goods. You will operate forklifts to load and unload trucks, relocate inventory, and transport materials within the facility. A strong focus on Safety is required; all operators must maintain valid certifications and strictly adhere to company Safety guidelines, including the consistent use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Your ability to operate machinery with precision and awareness is key. This role demands physical capability for maneuvering loads and performing related tasks which may include occasional Lifting. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, clamp) in a safe and efficient manner.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Transport inventory to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Perform daily inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts.
- Maintain accurate records of material movements and inventory locations.
- Follow all warehouse Safety rules and regulations.
- Wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist with warehouse organization and general upkeep.
- Collaborate with the logistics team to ensure efficient operations.
- Report any operational issues or Safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification and a minimum of 1 year of experience.
- Proven ability to operate various types of forklifts safely.
- Understanding of warehouse Safety practices and procedures.
- Physical ability to perform tasks as required, including occasional Lifting.
- Excellent attention to detail and strong situational awareness.
- Commitment to following Safety protocols and wearing required PPE.
