We are seeking a skilled Material Handler to join our operations in Tampa, Florida. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of materials throughout our warehouse and ensuring operational efficiency. You will be responsible for moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting merchandise. This position requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to workplace safety. You will operate various types of equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks, to transport materials. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload trucks with incoming and outgoing materials.
- Transport materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Receive, identify, and stock materials accurately.
- Assist with inventory control and cycle counting.
- Maintain equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Ensure warehouse organization and cleanliness.
- Follow all safety regulations and company policies, including the proper use of PPE.
- Assist with picking and packing orders as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or in a similar role.
- Valid forklift operation certification is a plus.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 60 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and safety procedures.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
