We are seeking a diligent Warehouse Associate to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C. This role is fundamental to the efficient operation of our distribution center, contributing to the smooth handling and processing of goods. Responsibilities include receiving, stocking, order picking, packing, and preparing items for dispatch. Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments, verifying contents against orders.
- Accurately store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse.
- Pick items from shelves according to order tickets or electronic lists.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently, ensuring product safety.
- Prepare shipments for delivery, including labeling and staging.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks.
- Perform regular inventory checks and participate in stocktaking activities.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all regulations.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a warehouse or distribution center is highly valued.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, bend, and reach throughout the shift.
- Must be able to perform lifting tasks up to 50 lbs.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety procedures and protocols.
- Experience with inventory management is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must be willing and able to wear all required PPE.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
