We are hiring a Picker/Packer for our bustling warehouse facility in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be essential to our order fulfillment process, ensuring that items are accurately picked from inventory and carefully packed for shipment to our valued customers. Responsibilities:
- Locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves based on order details.
- Inspect items for quality and accuracy before packing.
- Select appropriate packaging materials to ensure product protection during transit.
- Assemble cartons and packages efficiently.
- Label packages correctly with shipping information and any special handling instructions.
- Assist with receiving and stocking of incoming goods as needed.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, adhering to all safety standards.
- Participate in inventory cycle counts.
- Strictly follow all safety guidelines and wear all required PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a picking or packing role is advantageous but not required.
- Ability to read and interpret order documents accurately.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a fast-paced setting.
- Physical capability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
- Must be comfortable with lifting items up to 50 lbs.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to protocols.
- Must wear appropriate PPE, including safety vests and footwear.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
