We are hiring an Order Picker to join our dynamic warehouse team in Portland, Oregon. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently picking customer orders from warehouse shelves using RF scanners and other equipment. Your attention to detail and speed are essential for ensuring our customers receive their correct orders in a timely manner. This position is a vital part of our logistics and fulfillment process, contributing directly to customer satisfaction. Safety is paramount, and adherence to all safety guidelines, including the use of appropriate PPE, is mandatory.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using an RF scanner and order sheets.
- Locate items within the warehouse, ensuring the correct product and quantity are selected.
- Pack picked items carefully to prevent damage during transit.
- Stage picked orders for quality control and shipping.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment safely to move merchandise.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks as required.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of required PPE.
- Follow established guidelines for lifting and handling products to prevent injuries.
- Contribute to the smooth functioning of our logistics and distribution operations.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is preferred but not required.
- Ability to read and understand order sheets and product labels.
- Familiarity with RF scanning technology is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
- Ability to perform tasks requiring moderate lifting (up to 40 lbs).
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to all safety protocols.
