Represent the RAC directly in the field, delivering high‑quality mechanical service to customers on driveways, office car parks and other locations. Perform light vehicle maintenance, diagnostics, repairs and checks – each day presenting a different mix of tasks. Manage stock, complete required reporting, and maintain effective customer conversations. Make timely, customer‑focused decisions, using your knowledge of vehicles and the RAC’s standards. Qualifications
Level 2 light‑vehicle maintenance qualification (or equivalent). At least 3 years of hands‑on experience as a vehicle technician working with a range of light vehicles. A full UK driving licence with fewer than 6 points. Benefits
Competitive base salary of £38,625, with on‑target earnings up to £50,000; guaranteed overtime option can increase base to £44,385. 40‑hour week with core hours 8:30 am–5:00 pm; 1 in 4 Saturdays and Monday–Saturday availability 8 am–8 pm. 23 holiday days (rising to 25 with service) plus bank holidays; flexible paid family leave and 24/7 confidential support for all employees and eligible household members.
