The Operations Project Manager provides support and generalist services to the plant including Production, Quality Management System and Plant personnel, Health and Safety and Inventory Count. To support key activities and tasks critical to production's efficiency.
Key Production Coordinator / Quality Specialist Role Activities / Responsibilities:
· Create employee bi-weekly schedule for production areas. Work with temp agencies to ensure personnel needs.
· Maintain hourly employee weekly time and attendance system.
· Assist in the Recruitment and Selection of some plant employees.
· Ensure their training plan is executed and monitored.
· Complete all Health & Safety Accident and Incident investigations, Conduct Joint Health and Safety Committee.
· Check daily production records, analyze and daily downtime. Ensure products meet the specifications & avoid overruns. General plant production support.
· Report all safety, repairs & maintenance requirements to the Plant Manager/ Maintenance.
· Inventory – Monthly physical inventory counts & data system entry. Some reconciliations when necessary.
· Familiar with the Implementation of ISO / HACCP standards. Assist in the development of new SOP's. Revisions of existing SOP's as needed.
· Ensure the facility is maintained and facility Internal Quality audits are performed as to the set procedure and follow-up on shortcomings.
· Ensure good housekeeping and food safe practices are implemented and followed.
· Assists Plant Manager, as required.
Skills and Experience of the Production Coordinator:
· Able to apply the 3-5 years of relevant experience from a manufacturing environment to deliver on all role and responsibility expectations.
· Proficient with Microsoft Office.
· ISO &/ or HACCP quality programs experience.
· Health & Safety Act knowledge.
· Independent individual with strong initiative.
