Barista/All Rounder

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. The Barista will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining cleanliness throughout the shift.

Duties

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages using POS systems such as Micros POS.
• Handle cash transactions accurately through cashiering and cash handling procedures.
• Take customer orders efficiently, ensuring accuracy and timely service.
• Assist in food preparation and food handling tasks, including assembling food items and maintaining food safety standards.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, equipment, and dining areas in compliance with health regulations.
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service without compromising quality.
• Engage with customers in a friendly manner, providing excellent customer service and addressing any inquiries or concerns.
• Follow food safety protocols and proper hygiene practices at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Barista or in the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
