Position Summary:

Razor Contract Manufacturing Ltd. is located at 31 Whitebone Way, Saint John, NB E2J 4Y3 and is looking to fill the permanent full-time position of Welder Helper. Indivilduals in this role must be comfortable working in a physical demanding position while operating various equipment. This role is responsible for completing a variety of welding duties for Razor Contract Manufacturing Ltd.

Summary of Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret work orders, welding blueprints, drawing specifications, manuals, and processes.
• Measure in metric and imperial.
• Operate previously set up welding machines to fabricate or repair metal parts.
• Lay out reference points and patterns for templates.
• Operate previously set up brazing or soldering machines to bond metal parts or to fill holes, indentations and seams of metal articles with solder.
• Operate metal shaping machines such as brakes, shears and other metal straightening and bending machines.
• May adjust welding heads and tooling according to work specifications.
• Transport raw materials and finished metal products manually or using hoists or other devices.
• Sort metal sheets and parts, scrap metal and other materials.
• Start up, shut down, adjust and monitor robotic welding production line.
• May cut, grind or chip excess metal from metal products using hand tools.
• Communicating with coworkers to understand project specifications, as needed.
• Clean work areas and equipment.
• Uphold high safety standards.
• Ability to learn new tasks.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor and upper management.

Requirements:

• Ability to lift to 50 pounds.
• Forklift Certification is considered an asset.
• Previous welding experience is considered an asset.
• In-house training is provided.
• Ability to speak, read and write in English.
• Positive attitude.
• Highly motivated and able to work independently and with a team.
• Ability to multi-task and determine priorities.
• Exhibit initiative, responsibility, and flexibility.

Pay, Benefits & Hours:

• $ per hour.
• Dental, Medical and Health benefits available after completing 6-month probationary period.
• Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
