Housekeeping Staff

The Cambridge Club, Toronto's preeminent Squash and Fitness Club, is seeking a reliable part-time housekeeping worker for our men's lockerroom.

Mon - Fri 7pm - 12am

Purpose and Objective: to clean and maintain Club facilities, serving our Members with care and hospitality.

Major/Specific Responsibilities

• Whirlpool operation: Check, monitor and record water conditions every hour manually (conduct chemical addition, backwash filter and add water as needed) according to Ministry of Health regulations.

• Attend to new members, member request, cancellations and other concerns

• Laundry and shoe shine services and sales (if applicable)
• Tidy up locker room and empty garbage bins as needed
• Collect dirty towels and re-stocking the shelves with clean towels.
• Refill dispensers and other vanities amenities
• Mop washrooms floor and wipe clean partition panels, sinks and urinals
• Water hose/clean the shower and wet areas floor & wall tiles after morning busy hours
• Wipe clean mirror, shelves, counters, picture frames and furniture
• Tidy the long lockers, top of the lockers and shoe shelves as needed
• Clean a/c and exhaust vents as needed
• Refill drinking water dispenser as needed
• Occasionally assist other departments in setting up for their functions and clean up
• Vacuum change room carpet as needed
• Clean gyms and all club areas, depending on shift worked

Qualifications/Requirements

• HIghschool diploma
• WHMIS training
• First aid and CPR
• Worker health and safety training

Skills/Knowledge/Attributes

• Friendly and organized
• Attention to detail a must
• Ability to lift 20+ lbs, safely
• Team player who helps wherever needed
• Takes initiative to resolve issues and clean up extra messes as they occur
