Barista

Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, prepare high-quality beverages, and maintain a clean and welcoming environment. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced food service setting, engaging with customers and ensuring their satisfaction. Previous experience in the food industry, especially as a Barista, is preferred but not required. The position involves handling cash transactions, operating POS systems, and adhering to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to company standards
• Operate POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area, including food preparation stations and dining spaces
• Assist with food preparation and serving snacks or light menu items as needed
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
• Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly
• Restock supplies and ensure equipment is functioning properly

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Barista or in the food service industry is preferred
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
• Basic math skills for cash handling and POS operations
• Knowledge of Micros POS or similar systems is a plus
• Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Good time management skills to handle multiple orders simultaneously
• Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
• Experience with serving, cashiering, and food preparation is advantageous
• Reliable with excellent communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.73-$27.14 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
