Automotive Service Advisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers needing vehicle maintenance and repairs, ensuring a seamless and positive service experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of automotive systems, and the ability to upsell services effectively. Prior dealership or mechanic experience is preferred to provide expert guidance and build trust with clients.

Duties

• Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle concerns
• Explain repair and maintenance services clearly, providing accurate estimates and timelines
• Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and services
• Upsell additional services and maintenance options based on customer needs and vehicle requirements
• Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of all service orders
• Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster ongoing relationships
• Maintain organized documentation of service history, work orders, and customer interactions
• Stay informed about the latest automotive repair techniques, products, and dealership promotions

Qualifications

• Previous dealership experience is highly desirable
• Mechanic experience or mechanical knowledge is a strong plus
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
• Sales aptitude with a focus on upselling appropriate services to enhance vehicle performance and safety
• Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and responsibly
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
• Knowledge of automotive repair processes, parts, and systems is preferred
• Professional appearance and positive attitude are essential for representing the dealership's brand

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $17.20-$23.50 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 – 44 per week
