POSITION: Program Manager

JOB TYPE: Permanent, Full time

WHAT YOU NEED (QUALIFICATIONS):

· Minimum of a degree in Human Services, Rehabilitation Studies or in a related discipline.

· Proficiency in all MS Office programs and other related software

· Provide clear criminal record and child intervention checks.

· Maintain and utilize a current Standard First Aid and CPR level C

·5-7 years of experience working with persons with disabilities.

· Minimum of 5 years' experience in administration and supervision of a 10–15-member team.

· Maintain a Class 5 driver's License with a minimum of 1 million dollars Liability insurance.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING? (JOB DUTIES):

Reporting to the Program Director, the Program Manager is responsible for the overall supervision and direction of assigned programs to ensure comprehensive and quality services are offered to the community. Reporting to the Director of Programs, the Program Manager is responsible to ensure that services operate according to funder guidelines, best and promising practices and agency policy and procedures and budgets and health and safety standards are adhered to. Some of the duties would include;

  • Coordinates and facilitates a transdisciplinary team approach and supports Coordinators to review individual plans.
  • Builds strong individual relations, delivers individual-centric solutions and identifies opportunities that benefit the individuals.
  • Ensures all program sites comply with health and safety standards, accreditation standards and all relevant legislation.
  • Implements processes to stay current on individuals, their major health concerns and ensures proper procedures are followed.
  • Leads the intake process, ensuring that individuals are matched to appropriate services and that funding is in place to meet needs of each individual.
  • Responsible for the recruitment, coaching, performance management and on-going supervision of Program Coordinators and other assigned positions.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with the Director of Programs through regularly scheduled supervisions to ensure they are kept current on agency operations, successes and challenges.
  • Establish on-call rotation with Coordinators, team members, and participate in the on-call rotation either via back up to the coordinators or in the rotation itself.
  • Sets yearly objectives to align with broader organizational goals, breaking down these objectives into appropriate initiatives and actions, and anticipates effective contingency plans.
  • Supports the Program Coordinator to have strong relationships with parents and guardians and steps in to support issues that arise.
  • Create a positive environment for the Program Coordinators and administration teams where they are encouraged, recognized and feel comfortable to address bring up their concerns.
