Saw Operator

Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented worker to join our production team. This role involves using a saw to cut aluminum planks to specified measurements, ensuring accuracy and quality, and assisting with general material handling tasks. The ideal candidate will have experience with cutting tools, measuring equipment, and safe handling practices for aluminum and other materials.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate a saw to cut aluminum planks according to provided specifications and drawings.
• Accurately measure materials using tape measures, calipers, or other measuring tools to ensure precision.
• Inspect finished pieces for quality, accuracy, and conformity to requirements.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials within the shop or job site.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including tools and equipment.
• Follow all safety guidelines and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Report any equipment issues or material defects to supervisors.
  Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules and deadlines.

Requirements:

• Previous experience operating saws, preferably for cutting aluminum or similar metals.
• Accurately measure materials using tape measures, calipers, or other measuring tools to ensure precision.
• Ability to read and interpret measurements, drawings, and work orders.
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating dimensions.
• Good physical stamina and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  Willingness to work in a shop or warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with aluminum properties and handling.
• Experience using both manual and powered cutting tools.
  Forklift certification or willingness to obtain one.

Work Environment:

• Industrial/production setting with moderate noise levels.
• Standing, bending, and lifting required throughout the shift.
