The Supervisor of Gender-Based Violence Services is responsible for overseeing and coordinating a range of specialized programs aimed at addressing genderbased violence, including intimate partner violence (IPV) and sexual violence. This leadership role ensures the coordinated delivery of trauma-informed, evidenceinformed, client-centered services that promote safety, healing, and accountability within the community.
Key areas of responsibility include:
Counselling Services for Survivors
Program Leadership and Administration Provide oversight for individual and group counselling programs for survivors of gender- based violence, including physical violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, emotional and psychological abuse, and coercive control. Ensure services are evidence-informed, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and accessible to diverse populations.
Partner Assault Response (PAR)
Program Manage the delivery of intervention programs for individuals who have perpetrated intimate partner violence. Ensure programming aligns with provincial standards and focuses on accountability, behaviour change, and reducing recidivism.
Children and Youth Witnessing IPV
Provide oversight for therapeutic and support services provided to children and youth exposed to intimate partner violence. Promote evidence- informed interventions that foster emotional well- being, resilience, and healthy relationships.
Program Leadership and Administration
- Provide general and clinical supervision of staff, supporting accountability, career growth and confidence.
- Monitor data collection, reporting, and quality assurance processes.
- Oversee program planning and implementation to ensure compliance with organizational policies and funding requirements.
- Evaluate programs and services through the analysis of data and outcome measurements.
- Collaborate with community partners, justice systems, and social service agencies to strengthen coordinated responses to gender-based violence.
Advocacy and Education
Support public education initiatives and advocate for systemic changes that address gender-based violence and promote equity and safety.
Qualifications
- Master level Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or related field
- Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Services Workers or the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario
- Minimum 5 years of experience in gender-based violence services.
- Formal training and proven experience in providing general and clinical supervision.
- Deep understanding of therapeutic modalities, evidence and trauma-informed practices, risk assessment, and crisis intervention.
- Thorough knowledge of professional codes of ethics and legal standards.
- Proven sensitivity to diverse backgrounds, identities and experiences.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.

Positions working a minimum of 20 hours per week are eligible for all benefits, including life, accident and critical illness insurance, extended health coverage, dental coverage, short and long term disability, Employee and Family Assistance Program, Paid Time Off benefits (28 days per year at start of employment), and group retirement plan with 200% employer contribution.
Pay Range
$44.57 to $52.93 per hour
