Electrical Estimator

Job description

Westcana Electric is seeking an experienced, energetic and driven Electrical Estimator to join our team in Kelowna. The successful candidate will be required to develop projects individually or as a part of a team for larger projects, working closely with suppliers, and subcontractors. The Electrical Estimator is responsible for seeing the project through from start to finish, working closely with his crew. Westcana Electric takes pride in quality workmanship and for completing projects on time and on budget.

Requirements:

• Prepare estimates of material, labour, and equipment costs for projects, as well as bids, quotations, drawings and specifications
• Complete and communicate accurate and detailed documentation
• Responsible for maintaining accuracy of tender submissions
• Review estimates with Project Managers
• Manage Client Relationships

Qualifications:

• An Electrical trade certificate.
• Experience in a commercial and residential setting
• 5+ years' experience as an electrical estimator considered an asset
• FSR A or B is considered an asset
• Excellent and proven organizational skills in order to meet multiple deadlines and handle multiple tasks within a high-pressure work environment
• Excellent English communication skills
• Advanced knowledge of estimating programs, specifically Accubid
• Demonstrated computer software proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project)
• Ability to travel as required
• Must be located in the Kelowna BC area.

Pay: $89,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
