Job Summary
Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Staff Pharmacist, where you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care through expert medication management, clinical services, and medication safety. You will leverage your extensive pharmacy knowledge and clinical experience to support diverse patient populations, including working with Dr Tifase in clinic, acute care, pediatrics, and critical care settings. Your proactive approach and dedication will ensure optimal therapeutic outcomes while fostering a compassionate and compliant pharmacy environment.
Responsibilities
- Dispense medications accurately while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, including HIPAA and hospital policies.
- Provide expert patient assessments to determine appropriate medication therapies, considering physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and modify medication plans, including pain management, immunizations, and IV infusions.
- Manage inventory efficiently, including compounding medications and maintaining aseptic techniques for sterile preparations.
- Utilize pharmacy software, Kroll and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to document patient interactions and medication orders precisely.
- Conduct patient education on medication administration, potential side effects, and drug interactions to promote safe usage.
- Support and work with Dr Tifase for optimal patiet outcomes
- Support pharmacy technicians / assistants by overseeing medication preparation processes, ensuring adherence to quality standards in aseptic technique and IV insertion procedures.
- Participate in medical management initiatives by reviewing patient data for optimal drug therapy outcomes across hospital or long-term care settings.
- Assist in training new staff or pharmacy residents to uphold clinical standards and enhance team capabilities.
Experience
- Proven clinical pharmacy experience with a focus on acute care or hospital environments.
- Critical care experience that includes managing complex medication therapies in high-pressure situations.
- Hands-on experience with pharmacy software systems, Kroll and inventory management tools.
- Strong understanding of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and medication administration protocols.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $55.00-$69.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 45 per week
