Job Specification
We are looking to add to our growing team a part-time Bookkeeper. Our ideal candidate must be team-oriented, reliable and demonstrates superb dependability. You will be working in our fast-paced environment supporting the business in back-end, administrative roles.

Responsibilities
- Enter, verify, and maintain all vendor bills and customer invoices in Quickbooks.
- Process weekly AP payments (cheque, EFT, etc) and ensure timely payment of vendor obligations and government remittances.
- Monitor AR aging and perform regular follow-ups on outstanding customer balances.
- Reconcile all statements (vendors, customers, banking) and resolve discrepancies.
- Apply customer payments accurately (cheque credit card, electronic) and maintain deposit records.
- Prepare and send customer statements, credit memos, and account reminders.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing tasks, including AP/AR reconciliations.
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Communicate with vendors and customers to resolve invoice, payment, and account inquires.
- Support senior management team with reporting, audits, and other accounting tasks as needed.
- Backup duties, as required, include:
- Maintain employee time entries and attendance records within Payworks.
- Prepare and submit approved hours for payroll processing.
Requirements
- Secondary school diploma, at minimum.
- Bookkeeping certificate, or equivalent experience, is required.
- Strong skills with accounting software Quickbooks an asset.
- Strong skills with MS Office software and tools; including Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
