Mechanic/Technician

Overview
Greatwest Maintenance is seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a variety of equipment and machinery form Forklifts, areal lifts, skid steers, and telehandlers. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical background to contribute to the efficiency and safety of our operations.

Duties

• Diagnose mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and techniques
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on machinery, engines, and equipment
• Replace worn or damaged parts with precision and efficiency
• Conduct inspections to identify potential problems before they lead to breakdowns
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and repairs performed
• Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems
• Ensure all work complies with safety standards and regulations
• Assist in the installation of new equipment and machinery as needed

Skills

• Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar role, with strong diagnostic skills
• Knowledge of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components
• Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks safely
• Certification or training in automotive, industrial, or diesel mechanics is preferred but not required

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00-$43.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
