What is the opportunity? You will be a key member of the Product Control Infrastructure Team, supporting the Global Product Control function through a dynamic and evolving role.
You will lead critical change initiatives focused on business transitions to the PLANET reporting platform, while modernizing and expanding our reconciliation comparability from regional to global operations.
This role combines strategic project delivery with hands‑on technical work, giving you the opportunity to drive meaningful transformation from legacy Excel‑based processes to robust, database‑driven solutions.
You will also provide leadership, overseeing central controls that support Europe and APAC operations with plans to expand globally.
What will you do?
Support Business Process Change (BPC) initiatives for business line transitions onto PLANET, identifying automation opportunities and process enhancements to improve efficiency.
Review and expand current reconciliation offering for Europe and APAC to become globally robust, incorporating strategic datasets such as Finance CORE and covering additional regions including North America.
Modernize reconciliation architecture by transitioning from Excel‑only based solutions to database‑driven platforms leveraging SQL and Python for scalability and maintainability.
Oversee and provide technical support for central controls including daily reconciliations, decomp attribution calculation engines, monthly reporting packs (SODS), MI reporting and Valuation Adjustment (VCON) workflow tools.
Collaborate with business lines and regional Product Control teams to understand requirements, ensure successful implementations, and facilitate knowledge sharing across global operations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance controls, automate processes, re‑engineer workflows and replace legacy systems.
What do you need to succeed? Must‑have
Expert proficiency in SQL, Python and Excel with proven ability to design and build tactical applications and robust data solutions.
Strong knowledge of Visual Basic and Microsoft Access to properly review, interrogate, and support legacy tools and databases during transition to strategic platforms.
Solid understanding of capital market financial products (Bonds, ETDs, Interest Rate and Credit Derivatives, FX Products) and their valuation, risk characteristics and Product Control requirements.
Good data analysis capabilities with focus on data quality, validation and integrity.
Demonstrated experience in business process change, business analysis, and project delivery within financial services or similar complex environments.
Excellent communication and leadership skills with ability to manage stakeholders, coordinate team activities, and influence change across global teams.
Nice‑to‑have
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and formal project management frameworks.
Experience working with and coordinating across globally distributed teams in different time zones.
Previous experience working in Product Control or Financial Control functions within Capital Markets.
