Service Automotive Apprentice Technican

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Automotive Technician Apprentice to join our dynamic team. This entry-level position offers hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance, providing a pathway to develop advanced technical skills. The ideal candidate will be eager to learn, possess a strong mechanical aptitude, and have a passion for vehicle service and repair. Experience with dealership operations, automotive electrical systems, and diagnostics is a plus but not required. This role involves working closely with experienced technicians to gain comprehensive knowledge of automotive systems, including powertrain, ADAS, and vehicle alignment.

Duties

• Assist in diagnosing automotive issues using schematics and automotive diagnostics tools
• Support repairs on various vehicle systems such as engines, electrical systems, and transmissions
• Perform routine maintenance tasks including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks
• Learn to operate hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Aid in the repair of diesel engines and GM vehicles as needed
• Contribute to vehicle alignment, wheel balancing, and basic auto body repairs under supervision
• Support the team with welding and other mechanical tasks to ensure optimal vehicle performance
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety standards
• Assist with vehicle inspections and ensure compliance with manufacturer specifications

Skills

• Basic mechanical knowledge with an interest in automotive repair and maintenance
• Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostics tools is advantageous
• Experience or familiarity with dealership procedures, ADAS technology, and powertrain components is preferred
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment safely
• Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail during vehicle inspections and repairs
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients when necessary
• Ability to work well within a team environment alongside experienced technicians
• Willingness to learn about auto body repair, alignment procedures, diesel engine repair, and GM vehicle systems
