About the Role
The Senior Bookkeeper plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely, and high-quality financial reporting for multiple client accounts. This role manages day-to-day bookkeeping operations, oversees financial workflows, and maintains strong communication with clients and internal teams. You'll also provide guidance to junior bookkeepers, uphold service standards, and support ongoing process improvements across the accounting function. We are rapidly expanding in the E-Commerce and Consumer Goods space, so hands-on industry experience is highly valued.
Core Responsibilities
_ Client Financial Management_
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for clients regarding financial data, reporting schedules, and bookkeeping tasks.
- Build a deep understanding of each client's operations, especially around inventory movement, sales channels, and cost structures.
- Conduct regular check-ins to clarify data needs, resolve discrepancies, and ensure alignment on deliverables.
Bookkeeping Execution & Quality Control
- Own the full bookkeeping cycle for assigned clients, including reconciliations, AP/AR management, month-end close, and financial reporting.
- Review reconciliations, journal entries, inventory valuations, and COGS calculations for accuracy and completeness.
- Meet all deadlines and uphold high standards of accuracy and consistency across all deliverables.
- Maintain and improve accounting workflows, checklists, and internal controls.
Systems & Process Management
- Manage accounting systems and integrations (QuickBooks, Shopify, inventory tools, ERPs/WMS), ensuring clean, accurate data flows.
- Troubleshoot system issues and collaborate internally to optimize automations and reporting processes.
- Support evaluation and implementation of new tools to increase efficiency.
Team Guidance & Collaboration
- Provide support, direction, and troubleshooting guidance to junior bookkeepers.
- Liaise between clients, bookkeepers, and cross-functional teams (tax, payroll, advisory).
- Escalate complex issues to senior leadership when necessary.
- Collaborate with the Value Resource Manager to identify and document cost-saving opportunities (vendor switches, insurance reviews, payroll optimization, etc.)
Qualifications
- 6+ years of bookkeeping or accounting experience, ideally supporting multiple clients or operating in fast-paced environments.
- Advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Online, Shopify, and Inventory/COGS Management (required).
- Industry experience in E-Commerce or Consumer Goods is highly preferred.
- Experience with Finaloop, ERP systems, WMS platforms, , Gusto, Rippling, Expensify, Hubdoc/Dext, or similar apps is a plus.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication skills and comfort working directly with clients.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and maintain accuracy under tight deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60, $65,000.00 per year
