Job Highlights:
We are seeking a dedicated RN Program Coordinator to support the educational and professional development needs of nursing staff within our inpatient Behavioral Health (BH) settings. This role plays a critical part in fostering clinical excellence and advancing nursing practice through education, research, and data-driven initiatives.
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:00 am - 4:00pm, flexibility offered and required within this role. Responsibilities to St. Louis University Hospital and St. Marys Hospital within this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and deliver educational programs for behavioral health nursing staff.
- Collect and analyze data to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and support quality improvement efforts.
- Assist with academic and research projects related to Behavioral Health nursing.
- Collaborate across both SLUH and SMSL campuses to ensure consistent program implementation and support.
Job Summary:
Provides coordination of the activities and flow of work for the assigned clinical program.
Job Responsibilities and Requirements:
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Facilitates the development, implementation and evaluation of program services and initiatives.
- Plans, implements, evaluates, and coordinates appropriate patient care.
- Maintains program documentation and review to support regulatory and compliance regulations.
- Assists with determining appropriate training for the staff and developing the learning program.
- Collaborates with advanced practice providers to ensure quality outcomes.
- Collaborates with others to assist with problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services, and systems/performance measures.
- May participate in injury prevention initiatives and/or activities.
- Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or equivalent combination of education and experience
EXPERIENCE
- Three years' registered nurse experience
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
- Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
- Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
- Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication. Ability to hear alarms, malfunctioning machinery, etc.
- Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
- Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting and gripping.
- Occasional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
- Rare climbing.
REQUIRED PROFESSIONAL LICENSE AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS
Resuscitation Certification Requirement: Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) required within 90 day of employment. Other resuscitation certifications may be required dependent on department.
