Seeking a highly experienced and motivated Tax Professional to oversee client relationships, lead tax compliance and consulting engagements, and deliver strategic tax guidance across a broad range of industries. This position requires a combination of technical tax expertise, exceptional client service, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to contribute to a collaborative, growth-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and strengthen long-term client relationships by serving as a trusted advisor on tax compliance, consulting, and planning matters.
- Lead and oversee multiple tax engagements simultaneously, ensuring proper workflow management, effective resource allocation, and timely project execution.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams and other service lines to deliver integrated, industry-tailored tax solutions.
- Monitor engagement performance, including profitability, budget adherence, and scope management, and prepare accurate monthly billing analyses for assigned clients.
- Review and evaluate tax returns and supporting workpapers prepared by staff, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and identification of tax planning opportunities.
- Research, analyze, and interpret complex tax issues, providing clear, actionable recommendations to clients and internal teams.
- Leverage advanced analytical skills and utilize accounting and tax software to support compliance, reporting, and consulting activities.
- Provide strong leadership through mentoring, coaching, and developing staff, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Represent the firm in community outreach, networking events, and professional associations to support business development and enhance the firm's market presence.
- Contribute to internal initiatives focused on innovation, process improvement, technology utilization, and the advancement of technical tax knowledge across the firm.
- Stay informed of current tax legislation, regulatory changes, and proposed laws; evaluate their implications and advise clients on risk mitigation and strategic tax planning strategies.
Qualifications
- CPA, J.D., LL.M., or Master's in Taxation required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of tax experience in public accounting, with demonstrated technical expertise and client-facing experience.
- Proven track record of developing new business opportunities and fostering long-term client relationships.
- Strong leadership abilities, including experience managing teams, mentoring staff, and leading engagement execution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with advanced tax research and analytical capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, adapt to changing priorities, and deliver high-quality work in a deadline-driven environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $100, $130,000.00 per year
