At Leprino, starting compensation for this role typically ranges between
$147,000
and
$171,000
. This position has an annual target bonus of
15
%.

What You'll Do:

  • Build trusted partnerships with our plant Quality Execution teams by guiding them through complex and sometimes ambiguous food safety issues.
  • Support Leprino's cheese and nutrition product lines by ensuring quality standards are consistently met from raw ingredient to finished product.
  • Write and implement programs that strengthen quality compliance and improve how we prevent problems before they happen
  • Collaborate with Regional Vice Presidents and plant leaders on key initiatives that strengthen both customer confidence and team development.
  • Train, mentor, and encourage plant QE Managers and Supervisors, helping them grow while making sure their work aligns with company goals.
  • Investigate quality and food safety issues, uncover root causes, and design sustainable corrective and preventative actions.
  • Partner with pest control vendors to keep our facilities safe, sanitary, and compliant.
  • Use data analysis and reporting tools to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings while never compromising product safety.
  • Provide on-site support when plants experience vacancies or special needs, ensuring smooth transitions and continuity.
  • Balance customer expectations, quality, and operational efficiency with thoughtful, risk-based decision-making.
  • Share progress, lessons learned, and creative solutions with senior leadership, helping the business improve every day

You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):

  • A bachelor's degree in food science, dairy science, microbiology, chemistry, or a closely related field.
  • Ten or more years in food manufacturing with deep experience in quality systems, process controls, and product performance, ideally in dairy or other complex, high-risk categories.
  • At least five years leading teams, developing talent, and influencing technical, operations, or cross-functional groups without relying on formal authority.
  • A strong track record driving plant-floor problem solving, root-cause investigations, and corrective action programs.
  • Ability to travel up to 60 percent to support multiple manufacturing sites.

We Hope You Also Have (Preferred Qualifications):

  • A master's degree in food science, dairy science, or a related technical discipline.
  • Certifications such as PCQI, HACCP, SQF, or Internal Auditor.
  • Experience with SAP or similar enterprise quality systems.
  • Prior work building training/onboarding programs or developing leaders in quality, food safety, or continuous improvement.
