The KRS Division of Polymer Concepts Technologies PBY, Inc. is responsible for Aerospace and Industrial seal applications with a global responsibility for Sales, Manufacturing, Business development, Product and Process Development. The KRS Division has a customer portfolio that includes all major players in the Aerospace industry. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for a jet engine application, produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of the KRS Division.

We are looking for a dynamic Production Planner to join our crew in Hanover, PA.

The Production Planner is assigned a commodity for which they are responsible for the development and implementation of production and manufacturing schedules, to meet customer requirements and to maintain proper inventory levels. This will require constant interface with Operations, Engineering, Quality and Sales Departments. Based on already existing purchase contracts, the Planner will issue Purchase Orders for materials and supplies. The Planner will select the qualified supplier for each type of material required. The Planner is responsible and accountable for the performance of the suppliers of assigned commodities and the cost of purchased materials for the product line under their area of responsibility.

Duties and responsibilities are (including but not limited to):

This position will oversee the coordination and management of the day-to-day business activities between customer service and the customer.

  • Responsible for acting on order releases action and exception messages from the ERP system.
  • Plans and manages production schedules to meet customer delivery requirements and best utilize the company's productive capacity.
  • Responsible for the analysis of sales order releases with respect to capacity planning and material requirements.
  • Responsible for the management of inventory levels, schedules and availability of selected item, either manufactured or purchased, to meet production schedules.
  • Complete shipping information and delivery date input during Sale Order Reviews.
  • Review and answer termination or cancellation requests from Sales.
  • Order floor stock with shelf-life material for production.
  • Review work in process material sweeps from production floor.
  • Receive and review Sales Orders against current requirements and work in process using the Material Requirement Planning Report.
  • Release Purchase Orders for production material, floor stock items and all purchases to support the business unit.
  • Interface with manufacturing personnel, the Purchasing Department and Supervisors on material status and production planning issues.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain, business or related field.
  • C.P.I.M/C.P.M. certificate preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a Supply Chain role, specifically in requirements/production planning or master scheduling.
  • Possess strong skills using MS Office programs, including Excel, Word and Power-Point.
  • Experience with computerized manufacturing planning systems (MRP, ERP).
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
