Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Phoenix Behavioral Health, a quality provider of mental health and substance abuse services, is looking to hire a part time provider (APRN) for our Partial Care and Intensive Outpatient treatment programs located in Cherry Hill and to serve as a back up support to our Ewing location as needed.

Position: Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Status: Part Time

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial psychiatric assessments of new clients
• Manage a caseload for ongoing medication needs, including metabolic assessment, appropriate labs/studies and contact with other physicians
• Chart documentation as per agency standards
• Prescribe medications within standards of psychiatric care
• Participate in joint clinical case review meetings with program and case management staff to coordinate care for clients
• Participate in quality improvement process, including chart review for compliance with medical record keeping standards
• Collaborate with Medical Director in accordance with Collaboration Agreement
• Provide staff training, consultation and support in medication education and record keeping
• Provide psychiatric emergency intervention and management for program clients
• Maintain regular CEU's

Position Requirements:

• Master's Degree in Nursing;
• Valid New Jersey APN license (Advanced Practice / Nurse Practitioner License);
• CNS (Clinical Nurse Specialist) in adult psychiatry / mental health with substance abuse experience;

Experience:

• Substance Abuse: 1 year (Preferred)
• Mental Health : 1 year(Preferred)
• Clinical Nurse Specialist: 1 year (Preferred)
