Über

MedStreamline is looking for a Technical Support, Logistics, and Customer Service Coordinator to serve as a key link between our patients, partner facilities, and internal teams. In this role, you'll answer patient billing and insurance questions with clarity and care, troubleshoot medical and mobile devices with healthcare facilities, and manage inventory to ensure equipment is delivered "plug-and-play" ready.

The ideal candidate combines strong customer service skills with technical know-how and attention to detail. You should feel comfortable explaining billing statements, walking users through device troubleshooting, and keeping inventory organized and accurate.

Candidates should also possess the willingness to learn more technical components of the business, serving as a key operational liaison between our patient-facing teams and our internal IT group. Above all, we're looking for someone with a customer-first mindset who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

This position requires residency within 10 miles of Greenville, SC, and availability to work 11:00 AM – 8:00 PM EST Monday through Friday to support West Coast facilities. This is a fully onsite position and is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.

Responsibilities

Customer Service | Billing & Insurance Support

  • Respond to patient inquiries regarding billing statements, insurance claims, and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs) in a clear and professional manner.
  • Provide empathetic communication, resolve concerns, and handle disputes, escalating when appropriate.
  • Maintain accurate records of all interactions and updates in the system.
  • Consistently deliver positive, reassuring customer service.

Technical Support | Medical Device & IT Support

  • Troubleshoot MedStreamline devices and technology with medical facilities over the phone.
  • Walk customers through step-by-step fixes, setup, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Diagnose and resolve software or connectivity issues, including via remote server access.
  • Document issues, escalate complex cases, and collaborate with internal teams to improve processes.
  • Stay current on MedStreamline product offerings and software updates to provide accurate guidance.
  • Assist in the provisioning, de-provisioning, and management of user access and devices across core IT systems (Entra ID/Azure AD and Intune).

Logistics & Inventory Support

  • Source, order, and manage inventory of medical equipment, mobile devices, and supplies, monitoring reorder points and stock levels to minimize waste.
  • Track shipments and parts using inventory software; analyze trends and generate reports to support operational decisions.
  • Configure, test, and package devices to company standards for a turnkey, "plug-and-play" customer experience.
  • Conduct regular audits to ensure inventory accuracy and accountability.
  • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Support, and Operations to resolve discrepancies and refine logistics processes.
  • Stay informed on technology and logistics best practices to improve efficiency.

Other Duties

  • Perform additional tasks as assigned to support company operations.

Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework or technical training preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in customer service, patient billing, or healthcare insurance support, with strong knowledge of medical billing, insurance policies, and Explanation of Benefits (EOBs).
  • Experience in technical support, IT helpdesk, or troubleshooting medical devices, with the ability to explain complex issues in simple, step-by-step terms.
  • Proficiency with mobile devices (tablets, configuration, settings, and troubleshooting).
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly, professional demeanor and the ability to defuse frustrated callers.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines while maintaining a collaborative, positive team approach.
  • Familiarity with inventory management systems, shipping platforms, and online tracking tools; able to lift up to 50 lbs. and use a hand truck.
  • Familiarity with remote troubleshooting tools and software is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of SQL, data entry, or writing queries.
  • Experience with Postman or similar API request tools.
  • Experience with directory software's (Entra/AD) and/or security technology (such as VPN / Zero Trust / Intune)
  • Understanding software QA methodologies or experience documenting detailed tickets for software teams.
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceHub, or similar).
  • Professional experience in inventory management, logistics, or warehouse operations.

Travel Requirements: Occasional local travel as needed. Standard mileage rates will be applied for travel.
