The Healing Hut is a patient-centered medical practice dedicated to providing high-quality, compassionate care. We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our growing team and support both providers and patients in a fast-paced clinical environment.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients and obtain vital signs.
- Assist providers during exams and procedures.
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms.
- Perform phlebotomy and/or injections (if applicable).
- Manage lab orders, specimen handling, and results.
- Update and maintain accurate medical records in the EMR.
- Communicate with patients via phone, email, and patient portal.
- Assist with scheduling, referrals, and prior authorizations as needed.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and clinic protocols.
- Support overall clinic flow and teamwork.
- Medical Assistant certification preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent).
- Previous clinical experience preferred.
- Phlebotomy experience a plus.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Comfortable using EMR systems and basic office technology.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a team environment.
- Professional, compassionate, and patient-focused demeanor.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to ongoing learning, including clinic-specific processes and continuing education.
