$50-$55 hourly W2

Our client in the Atlanta area is looking for an IT Project Manager that will be responsible for leading projects from ideation to implementation and play a significant role in the overall success of the organization. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded individual who has led large strategic business initiatives in the financial services space.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects through all phases of the agile life cycle, including project initiation, requirements, design, development, testing, implementation and post implementation review.
  • Define project scope, resources requirements, budget, timeline, deliverables and milestones; evaluate courses of action on an ongoing basis and select the best alternative to attain project goals.
  • Promote leadership through collaboration, cooperation and communication across functional areas to ensure goals are achieved.
  • Partner with project stakeholders and program manager to define requirements, establish and update status reports, develop communication plans and create management presentations.
  • Maintain focus on project plan tasks, manage risk throughout the life cycle and make contingency plans to manage issues that pose risk to budget, time delivery or functionality.
  • Facilitation of requirements gathering meetings and ability to drive action items and next steps.
  • Ability to effectively present to executive leadership on status and risks.
  • Draft and maintain RAID.
  • Facilitation - Primary liaison to ensure communication, timely updates, and resolution of dependencies.

Experience Requirements:

  • Merger and Acquisition experience.
  • Strong Financial services experience.
  • Experience managing projects through all phases of the agile life cycle, including project initiation, requirements, design, development, testing, implementation and post implementation review.
  • Ability to partner with project stakeholders and program managers to define requirements, establish and update status reports, develop communication plans and create management presentations.
  • Local to the Atlanta area.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
