About the Role: The Back Office Clinic Assistant is responsible for providing support to providers and patients related to sexual and reproductive health care.
The Back Office Clinic Assistant supports and promotes the mission of Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) by providing excellent customer service to patients, visitors, and co-workers. PPCW provides confidential and discrete family planning services, including abortions, while maintaining an environment of dignity, trust and respect.
The Back Office Clinic Assistant must have the ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) with diverse patients and co-workers; must be able to work independently and as part of a team; must have the willingness and ability to adapt to job-related changes; must exhibit excellent customer service skills and be committed to providing the highest level of patient care.
A Float Employee plays a critical role in ensuring that our health centers remain fully staffed and operational, providing essential care to the communities we serve. By stepping in to meet the ever-changing needs of our clinics, Float Employees help maintain the highest level of patient care and service across all locations. Their flexibility, adaptability, and commitment to excellence enable our clinics to function smoothly, even in times of fluctuating staffing demands. Float Employees not only bring their professional skills to each location, but they also strengthen our team by fostering collaboration and consistency across multiple sites.
Schedule Expectations: This is a part-time position, (30 hours/week) Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturdays. Schedule hours and locations will be posted in advance. This position requires that the employee resides within the Portland-Metro area.

Total Rewards: The full wage range for this position is $20.02 to $29.17 hourly. Float Premium is $2/hour in addition to employee base rate, after two years of Float Assignment, premium increases to $3/hour. Float employees are also eligible for mileage and travel time. Bilingual Premium Pay is $1.69/hour, and interpreter-level skills are paid an additional $1.69 ($3.38 hourly). At PPCW we're proud to calculate a wage offer based on candidate experience, rather than negotiate an offer which leads to pay inequity. New hire wage placement typically does not exceed the midpoint of the wage range.
