Organizational Overview
Science from Scientists is a STEM education nonprofit organization. Our Scientist Educators – who are also scientists and engineers – bring hands-on, minds-on science learning directly to classrooms. We work with students in grades 2-8, providing positive role models and inspiring students to see themselves as the future's problem solvers and creative thinkers.
Science from Scientists provides unique opportunities for students to engage with real scientists. We use the title "Scientist Educator" because we recognize that the educators we employ all have meaningful science-related training and experience. This is important as many elementary school teachers and other nonprofit STEM educators may not have any practical experience actually doing what scientists, engineers, and other STEM professionals do.
Science from Scientists values growth and is committed to the ongoing professional development of our team. We support our Scientists Educators in learning that deepens their understanding of, and ability to, implement research-based practices embodied by Science from Scientists curriculum and programs.
Science from Scientists is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to creating a diverse workforce that reflects the community we serve. Those from underrepresented communities are encouraged to apply. As an equal opportunity employer, Science from Scientists does not discriminate in employment opportunities, policies, or practices on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, gender, national origin, age, disability, veteran status, sexual orientation, marital status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
