Position Summary

Bridge Brothers is seeking an experienced
Project Manager
to oversee the planning and execution of
custom bridge construction projects
from kickoff through completion. This is a
hands-on leadership role
that requires strong
civil construction experience
, the ability to
read blueprints and technical drawings
, and the confidence to manage field operations, budgets, schedules, and client relationships.

The ideal candidate thrives in the field, can
handle tough conversations with vendors and crews
, and brings the leadership skills to
mentor and train junior team members
, including supporting the development of Taylor and Johnny.

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution

  • Oversee bridge projects from planning to closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to ensure project accuracy
  • Manage and coordinate site activities including civil work, foundations, and structural assembly
  • Conduct site visits to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to project milestones

Team & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and supervise field crews and subcontractors, ensuring safety and productivity
  • Serve as a mentor and trainer for junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practices
  • Communicate effectively with internal teams (engineering, fabrication, shipping, quality control) and external partners (vendors, contractors, and clients)
  • Handle on-site challenges and scope changes with professionalism and clarity

Documentation & Reporting

  • Track project progress against budgets, schedules, and key milestones
  • Maintain accurate records including RFIs, submittals, change orders, daily logs, and photo documentation
  • Provide regular updates to leadership and clients regarding progress, issues, and deliverables
  • Support project closeout, including punch lists, as-built documentation, and client handoff

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of project management experience in civil or structural construction (bridge experience a plus)
  • Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and construction documents
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to handle direct conversations professionally
  • Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, and multi-phase project schedules

  • Familiarity with construction project management tools (Procore or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite

  • OSHA certification preferred; valid driver's license required

Role Details

  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, Full-Time (occasional weekends as needed)
  • Employment Type: Exempt, Salaried
  • Location: Pickens, SC
  • Compensation:
    Competitive and open, based on experience
  • Benefits: Eligible after 90 days (medical, dental, vision, life insurance, PTO, and paid holidays)
