Job Overview
Brooklyn music venue is seeking an energetic and personable Bartender-Server to join our vibrant hospitality team. 2 to 3 nights per week.In this dynamic role, you will craft exceptional drink experiences while providing top-tier service to our guests. Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met.
• Take food and drink orders accurately using Upserve (Breadcrumb) POS system
• Provide attentive customer service by greeting guests promptly, answering questions about menu items, and making personalized recommendations.
• Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, including processing payments via POS systems and giving accurate change.
• Maintain a clean and organized bar area, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards at all times.
• Engage with guests in a friendly manner, creating a lively atmosphere suitable for both fine dining settings and energetic nightclub environments.
• Assist with food service when needed during busy periods or special events.
• Monitor guest satisfaction throughout their visit, addressing any concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience.
• Uphold responsible alcohol service policies by checking IDs and recognizing signs of intoxication.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours or large events such as weddings or corporate gatherings.
• Stay informed about menu updates, brewing techniques if applicable, and current promotions to enhance guest interactions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in food service or hospitality roles, especially within fine dining, nightclubs, or banquet settings.
• Familiarity with POS systems.
• Strong knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to engage guests warmly while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize duties during busy shifts without compromising quality of service.
• Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations related to sales transactions.
• Ability to serve alcohol responsibly by verifying IDs and monitoring guest consumption levels.
• Experience with catering events or large-scale banquet service is a plus.
• Knowledge of the food industry's standards for hygiene and safety regulations.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, holidays, or late-night shifts as required by hospitality operations.
